Anyone ever buy anything from this site? Look at the 1941-1946 section. Pretty awesome stuff in there! http://aviation-antiques.com/

I haven't bought anything from them in years. Not for any reason other than I found searching and finding things by myself was more fun than just buying it. I bought my first A-11 AAF leather helmet from Jon along with a host of other items starting in the mid-1970's. I never had a problem with them and it was always a pleasure dealing with Jon.
I still have a bunch of his old catalogs. Maybe I'll dig one out and post a few pages for laughs! Everything was sooo much cheaper then!

the father, jon was a bit of a grouch, but always delivered what he sold or described. i was never ripped off by him. jon died in an auto accident about 7 years ago. his son curtiss took over the biz. never dealt w/him, but i'd guess he's as reputable as his dad. i'd say you can buy w/ confidence. my dealings w/ his dad go back to the mid 1980's

I have dealt with Curtiss a few times and have been very satisfied. My experience is that he is a nice guy and trustworthy.
It is a side business for Curtiss so he does not always respond promptly but that never bothered me, it is understandable.
