I saw the new issue of air comics and there was a story about the polished P-40C at Chino having flown back in August and not a word about it on here.
It was discussed here when it was unveiled. It's no secret photo threads are the most reviewed here, which this P-40 was under in a POF 2012 Airshow photo thread. Judging by Jim's photo's it was Jim who posted them. WIX, (especially the Main Hangar page) has new threads constantly. Meaning you can post a new thread and by the end of the day it could be on the third page. So you have to be constantly checking everyday and going through all the newly highlighted threads to see all the relevant information. While it may not have been mentioned on more than seven threads, I still think thats pretty good. And the P-40 was also covered in Warbirds International and Air Classics, but I understand many enthusiasts shun these two publications. But it definitely was discussed here.

Because, unfortunately, there is very little warbird information exchanged here anymore
Jim,
I'm sorry to hear about your waining interest in WIX nowadays. Maybe your right. Maybe there were more quality postings "back in the day" but I just simply cant share your sentiment. I come to WIX almost daily and learn or see something new, everyday. That is in my eyes, a truly powerful and important tool. If there are better avenues that people have found to discuss and share info, then all the best to them. But WIX as I see it, is a great vehicle for wanting to know all about this passion. People can be insensitive, petty, jealous, or just plain ignorant. It's a sad part of our culture, and more importantly part of humanity. This extends to the internet effortlessly. It's easy to post something that will offend or aggravate someone else, and then retreat back to the shadowy comforting veil of anonymity.
This is not just apart of WIX but of the internet in it's entirety. For one I believe the moderators do one HECK of a bang up job with keeping this board civilized and mostly on track. But we also sometimes tend to believe that there are more deconstructive conversations happening here, then there are constructive. And yes you will always have people being who they are. But for me personally, I just skip right over these posts. I think you have to in order to get to the relevant information your looking for. Why add to the un-relevant conversation when you could just ignore it? That's my take on it.
