Hello - I have a model maker friend who is planning to manufacture a conversion set - here's what he needs:

There are two very specific areas that I am working on, and those are the wast gun and tail turrets. The idea is that I am making a conversion set that will convert a late staggered waist and Cheyenne gun tailed B-17G into a non-staggered gun waist and 'stinger' tailed earlier B-17G.

What I really need are some really good internal detail shots of the waist gun and tail gun positions (and the Browning .50" M2 machine gun details.) The other thing that I am having difficulty with is accurate drawings for the tail gun and waist gun positions.

Ideally, I would love to have accurate drawings of both Cheyenne and stinger tail positions so that I could do an overlay and see exactly what alterations I would need to make.

Can any of you guys please link me to some threads within this site (I've already done a quick search but there are pages and pages of info, so if you know offhand where the relevant info is, please let me know) or other threads / photo albums elsewhere?

I would be very grateful for any assistance!

thanks in advance
Rich

For what it's worth: I sat in one of the Cheyenne turrets may years ago (minus guns) and remember that the turret was moved from side to side by a foot bar, which can be seen in the factory picture. The seat also had a folding back which appears to be down in the picture.
