Warbird Information Exchange

So I'm reading "SPIRIT OF ST. LOUIS" by Charles Lindbergh and he mentions several times that it was more dangerous to fly air mail during the winters in the Midwest than flying the Atlantic to Paris. He said it was this single thought that propelled him (no pun intended) to fly the Atlantic.

Btw, there's another interesting quote he made:

"I decided that if I could fly for ten years before I was killed in a crash, it would be a worthwhile trade for an ordinary lifetime."
