The two seat Yak-3M F-AZZV was bent on landing at Dijon, France. Looks like it over shot and ripped out the gear and gearbox/prop. All involved OK....

Glad to hear everyone is okay....

...hmmmm Dijon.

This looks like a dual control Yak 3. I could see the Collings Foundation operating one of these on the tour.

Can you really see many people parting with a substantial number of $$$ to ride in something without a Star & Bar on it?

Well I would.. but thats me. Since she has an Allison, Im assuming the operating cost would be substantially less, therefore the cost of a ride less. Henceforth she becomes the cheapest ride on the tour. Not a bad thing.

Personally I'd like to see Collings acquire one TF dual control fighter of each major country from WWII. Essentially creating their own Axis & Allies Fighter Squadron. "Now for the first time in history, take control of your favorite WWII fighter from six different countries!"

Focke Wulf FW-190 S-5
North American TP-51C
Supermarine Mk. IX
Mitsubishi A6M3-22
Fiat G.59
Yakovlev Yak-3M

Your telling me that wouldn't be a great selling point?
