I just started 2 weeks ago the book "WE SEVEN" written by the mercury astronauts themselves in 1962. interesting that carpenter was the only 1 of the 7 who never went to college. for what he did in the military & the space program that speaks a lot for his what he accomplished.

I'm reading INTREPID AVIATORS right now, I think I'll read WE SEVEN next and perhaps Carpenter's biography....or autobiography.
