Pacific Ocean (Oct. 24, 2005) - Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Andrew Puetz, assigned to “Black Ravens” of Electronic Warfare Squadron One Three Five (VAQ-135), stencils a winter holiday-themed tail marking on the vertical stabilizer of an EA-6B Prowler in the hangar bay aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68).

NORTH ARABIAN SEA (December 25, 2009) Lt. Jon Sunderland dresses in a Santa suite while directing aircraft operations aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) Christmas Day. Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is on a routine deployment to the region. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United Statesí commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.

At sea aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Dec. 21, 2002 -- An F-14D Tomcat assigned to the "Tomcatters" of Fighter Squadron Thirty One (VF-31) launches from the flight deck of USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). In keeping with the holidays, the Tomcat displays the squadron logo Felix the Cat in a Santa's hat, painted on the vertical stabilizers. Lincoln and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Fourteen (CVW-14) are supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Southern Watch.

SAN DIEGO (Dec. 3, 2011) Santa Clause flies in on an SH-60F Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 10 during the HS-10 and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21 children's Christmas party sponsored by the First Class Petty Officer Associations from both commands.

Santa Claus nose art painted on a C-130 Hercules aircraft of the 374th Airlift Wing commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Christmas air drops to islanders of the Federated States of Micronesia. Crews from the 345th and 21st Airlift Squadrons are assigned to fly the C-130 for the Christmas Drop '92 missions. Every Christmas since 1952, food, clothing, tools and toys donated by residents of Guam have been delivered by air to 40 Micronesian islands. Nose art reads "40th Anniversary 1952 - 1992." A McDonnell Douglas F-4B Phantom II of fighter squadron VF-111 Sundowners, Attack Carrier Air Wing Fifeteen (CVW-15), being launched from the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) on Christmas 1971 by a catapult officer dressed up as "Santa Claus". The Coral Sea was on a deployment to Vietnam from 12 Nov 1971 to 17 Jul 1972. The F-4B is armed with AIM-9D Sidewinder and AIM-7 Sparrow air-to-air-missiles.

lervaux, Belgium (Dec. 15, 2004) - Soldiers, Sailors and World War II veterans remember those killed in action during the “Battle of the Bulge” at a wreath laying ceremony at the American GI Statue honoring the Liberation of Clervaux, Belgium. Events serve to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the German offensive action in the Ardennes region of eastern Belgium and northern Luxembourg, where American forces suffered some of its largest casualties during WWII. U.S.

Santa Claus and other volunteers exit a CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 764 Dec. 16, 2009, at the village of the Havasupai, a Native American tribe living on the floor of the Grand Canyon. During the event, Santa handed out several gifts from Toys for Tots to the children of the village. The previous day, three Sea Knights made several trips into the canyon, each time dropping off loads of toys and food to the tribe for the holidays. The reserve squadron, based at Edwards Air Force Base north of Los Angeles, has flown toys to the village's children for Christmas for the past 14 years. Date 16 December 2009

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 20, 2007) Holiday lights illuminate USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) in celebration of the holiday season. Kitty Hawk is the world's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier and operates from Fleet Activities Yokosuka.

Thousands of Christmas wreaths are nestled against headstones in Section 27 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., on Dec. 15, 2005. Hundreds of volunteers gathered at Arlington to place more than five thousand donated Christmas wreaths on head stones in the cemetery. The 14th annual wreath laying event is a result of Worcester Wreath Company owner Morrill Worcester's boyhood dream of doing something to honor those laid to rest in the National Cemetery.[1]

That's awesome! Around Christmas on the flightline we put up a tree and decorated it with nuts, bolts aircraft bulbs and REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT streamers. I wish I could find a photo it looked cool.
