Any news or photos of the private F-104 Starfighter based in Arizona?

I don't know anything beyond the fact that it is still parked in a hangar at Williams Gateway, right next to the Lockheed TV-2. I see it out there all the time (it's an open end type of hangar) but I've never had opportunity to see it fly, if in fact it is flown.

Sounds like you're talking about the CF-104D N104. Its owned by Mark Sherman (I think his company is called Fuel Fresh?), I don't know how often he flies it but it is airworthy. I sold Mark a couple engines for it a few years back. The photo is from the Classic Jets website.

This the airplane once owned by Jim Robinson of Houston who started Combat Jets Museum. He later donated the whole bunch to EAA and they were flown to Wisconsin. EAA is slowly selling the collection off. I think the F-104 sold to Mark was the first piece to go some years back.

April / May 2000, Williams Gate Airport.

A bad photo is better than no photo at all. Sez me.

Large camera lens, chain-link fence and no chance to shoot on the other side of the fence, so this is what I came up with.

Somewhere, I have a couple of clean shots of the same airplane, at Ellington Field, Houston, TX.
