I found this photo on ebay. Is it a YP-37 as the caption claims, or a P-36?

Yes it is the YP-37. Is there any more information?

No, just that the slide was inherited from the seller's grandfather. Here's the auction:

I was always under the impression that the Huskie was designated as the HH-43 and constructed by Kaman.

Any guess where that YP-37 met it"s demise?

Alaska, judging by the high-vis red markings, and the other slides the seller has.
Check out his sold listings too - sadly, many are out of focus (like the rare color shots of the Japanese Tabby/DC-3) but rare nonetheless.
