Warbird Information Exchange

News this month says a Harrier jet arrived in Australia last year..... interesting times indeed downunder...with many exotic types flying or under rebuild to fly or static.

I would have thought there was already one there given the closeness of the UK and Australia.

And having recently visited the Pima museum and seeing their five Barriers (2 ex-USMc, two Ex-RAF, plus a Kestrel) I'm afraid it will take more than one going to a continent to get me excited.

Great news for the Aussie scene. Where did you hear this from, Phil? Who's the owner? What mark is the aircraft? Where is it located? What's the owner's intentions? Do you know the serial number?

Its over 1500nm further to the UK from Australia than to the US.......can't say we're particularly close to anywhere....unless its New Zealand, lol.

Besides the GR3 at Ashburton Museum, a FR2 has just shown up in Auckland, apparently in private hands.
