This is a really nice set of photos, thanks for posting. BBC does such a great job of providing context to their images. Having the stories of the subjects of the photos is great stuff.

Looks to have come through from behind him. Could be a 20 - 30mm FF Cannon. Also, nicknamed "Lucky" yet died in his early 30's from lung cancer. Rest well sir!
