I'm absolutely in love with the sound of that engine! It definitely embodies the complex sound of German engineering in comparison to the sweet growl of the Merlin. :rock:

man that starts quick!!! Our old goony bird spits and farts and belches and when it's raedy then it will start. You gotta love it though! Is it just me or does there runway seem a bit rough ???

It looks sloped and very rough in some ways, might be the way it was filmed :?:

Don't get to see many '109s (Buchons or otherwise) in these parts :(

Hopefully that'll change when the Yorkshire-based Buchon gets the wind beneath her wings! :wink:

Couldn't agree more...I'll never forget the sight and sound of Black 6's first public display at Duxford.....magnificent. 8)

Good to see Walter Eichorn at the helm in the first clip.....
Walter was given his original 109 ground school lectures by none other than Erich Hartmann. :wink:
