I suppose this is ancient history for some, but I just learned that North American Jet sold their operations at Kenosha and Palwaukee about a month ago.

Has anyone (Stoney?) heard whether this affects NATA's typical pre-OSH gathering at Kenosha or not?

TIA

This is the first I have heard of this, but NATA is having their formation clinic at Dubuque, IA this year, July 20-24. I'll put the info on our web site: www.NorthAmericanTrainer.org

Sure do miss having them in Kenosha. It was nice to hear radial engines over my house for days before Oshkosh. Hope they return some day!!

I don't think North American Jet and NATA are related... North American Jet is just an FBO isn't it? They had the FBO at PWK first and bought the Kenosha operation last year (or maybe it was 2 yrs ago now...) I know one of the owners had an L-39...

Yes, the FBO operation was sold. However, the previous owner is still running both operations, and the one in Kenosha will continue to operate with the North American name.

The previous owner says they will continue to host the NATA fly-in anytime they are asked, and to please be sure and pass that along.

The relationship is more along the lines of previous owner flys a North American SNJ (I think its a -5), and used to be on the WoA board of directors
