Maybe some confusion with airframes and N-numbers over the years?

Civilian FH-1's (#111761, #111768, #111769) You will notice that some of the BuNo #'s are different depending on which web page.

FH-1 Phantom N4282A (#111793)in Florida 1971 https://www.airliners.net/photo/Untitle ... ow3g%3D%3D

FH-1 Phantom N4283A (#111768) at Pima. https://pimaair.org/visit/museum-aircra ... nell/fh-1/

This F2H has nothing to do with Sanford, just happened to be in St. Louis with the above FH-1.
F2H Banshee #125690 also in St. Louis 1993/94 https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1457608

This group may have an answer on the Sanford F2H.

So all of the photos of the known surviving F2H-2(P) match up to these photos but the one I listed Construction number 456 it's safe to say this airframe was one of the many -2 pulled aside to be built as 2Ps. I guess the question is was it scrapped or?

Your original posts asked about two F2H's. I believe C/N 456 N4283A is actually the FH-1 and NOT a second F2H.

Looking for information on two different F2H banshees,

The first one is F2H-1 Bu# 122547 last reported as Gate Guard at NAS Sanford Fl what happen to this aircraft when Sanford was closed?

The Second is a big mystery it was registered as N4283A,

Serial Number 456 Certificate Issue Date 09/14/1966
Manufacturer Name MCDONNELL Mode S Code (base 8 / oct) 51216031
Model FH-1 Mode S Code (base 16 / hex) A51C19
Year Manufacturer None Cancel Date 10/07/1970
Reason for Cancellation Cancelled Export To None
Type Registration Corporation

Rob, while you're tracking down Banshees, any idea what happened to this one? Beer cans, I suppose?
