Continuing the earlier thread on B-25 noseart. I was fortunate enough to pick out and research out the noseart of our B-25J. Although my paramaters (42nd BG and no girls) I think it came out fairly well.
Also Pappy Gunn did develope the B-25 straffer. It was the earlier C and D models with 4 .50s in the nose and the 2 twin .59 pack on the fuselage.
Jack Fox of North American worked with Gunn on this and was the man behind the 75mm in the G and H models. There were also 2 models of the gun used with the 2nd being much lighter. A friend who flew both in the 310th BG told me that the H was a much better flying airplane than the G. He said after you fired off your ammo in the G you had a pretty severe aft CG issue.
The original Super Rabbit. There was also a later 'J'. 390th BS
