Hello All,
I realize that perhaps this is not the correct forum for this type of thing, and for that I apologise. But I thought it fitting considering the rather diverse group that we have here on the WIX board. Warbird lovers from all over the planet. The US, The UK, Europe, New Zealand, and of course Australia.
People come into your life, if only for a brief moment, that can make an impact upon you. Shared interests, such as Warbirds, or for that matter Wildlife in all its maginficence. Bring people together. In our case here, it is the Pilots, Owners, Mechanics, Reaserchers, and Enthusiasts that form our group. Some of you here, I have made freidnly contact with in our "quest" if you will for these aircraft.
I guess what I am attempting to say is that if we as a group, have the opportunity to make a friend, even though distant, we all all better for the experiance. So, with that said, I guess I just wanted to say that enaging in this discussion forum with you all has made me a better person for the experiance, no matter where you are in the world. Such is the feeling that I have gotten with the passing of Mr. Irwin. While some thought him abit nutty, he lived the live many of us can only dream of living ourselves. Many of you out there live the life that some of us dream of living. In my case, it has been my dream to have actually flown in one of these magnificent aircraft we discuss so freely. But many of you actually DO just that.
So....to cut this note short. I simply say this. I, at least, respect all of your opinions and hard learned knowledge. And you all have made me a better person for being associated with you.
To my friends from New Zealand and Australia, my thoughts and prayers are with you in the passing of your friend Steve Irwin. If any of you live the type of life that he did, to the fullest, then I am only too glad to know you via here. You have made me a better person for that.
Respectfully,
Paul
