Are any WIXers going to this show? I'm hoping the warbird turn-out will hold its own this year. Some years its like a rollercoaster ride.

Hopefully I'll be around the Skyraider if Rick can bring it up from Galveston.

I used to get invited to the show at Ellington, but not in the last few years. They have a couple of Spitfires closer, though last time I was there 2 years ago mine was the only one. We used to have some good times there back in the 80's. Did you go to the W. Houston CAF day and how was it? I tried to get a rental plane at Laporte, but no luck. I had a great time at the football game Sat night. I also went by to see Texas Raiders, but it was about noon and the door was locked. It was nice to see it in a good hangar near Raytheon.

Bill, I've been watching you at Houston for 20 years now. Out of all those years I still think my favorite was the time you and Howard flew with the Lancaster, immediately following the Red Arrows. That was '94 if I remember right. I remember you showing up on Saturday evening after the show and the paint was half stripped. I was around 9 at the time and having a blast at that show. That was when the warbird turnout was still insane every year.

Its funny you mentioned the other two Spitfires that are closer. I keep hoping to one day see the 3 of you together but it seems that Lone Star's is always broken and Raybourne hasn't brought his around yet. Are you going to make it this year?

I wasn't able to make it to West Houston. Which hanger is Raiders in? I work here next to Hobby and haven't found her yet.

Robbie, I'll be sure to do that for you. I'm sure you guys have some interesting stories from those days.
