I have heard that a 2-seater is possibly destined to fly, but thats as much as I can say right now. 8)

Paul Allen has a F-105 in a storage hanger at Arlington. Moving to Paine Field with a long runway.

Maybe?

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Then that would make it a F-105F or "G" and not a "D" model, that were talking about.

Unless I'm missing something.

It's been a few months since I last heard anything, so maybe it changed. But my last info was it was to be a 2 seat model. Frankly, if someone gets a F-105 in the air, it could have lawn chairs strapped to the wings and I'd be happy. :)

If the Brits (actually a few South Africans and Yanks) can fly Lightnings, surely someone can keep a Thunderchief in the air. :D

Hope it's true.

God himself might have enough money to keep a Thud in flying trim . . . or Paul Allen, but he's already loaned God enough money. I would say Bill Gates, but he's too busy figuring out how to keep my blood pressure up (a MAC is next!).

You know, Wade, that's what they said about a civilian F-4. And I know that you've personally seen one up close.

Heh heh. Point well taken.

Heck, I'm not in any way saying I don't want them to do it - I'm still looking for my first F-105 ride in xchange for a mural for Mr. Allen (well, maybe a 72" wide "mini-mural")!

So, maybe I should reconsider my future MAC purchase?

Thx,

Wade

I'll fly behind you in the 105, Hacker (after you're properly checked out) ! You almost flew me in your '38 - so, you still owe me a ride (in sumthin). :D
