Supersonic Jet Import Ban

I've been of the understanding that there is an AFT ban on the importation of supersonic aircraft. I've looked at 22 CFR 121 and 27 CFR 447 and can't find any restrictions of note. Can anyone point me in the direction of the statute or legislation promulgating the ban? Or is there indeed no ban?

This issue came up on another list, in response to a comment that the Starfighter guys have imported a new CF-104 from Norway via Canada.
