What type of A/C is this?

I hate to ask but I don't know that type of A/C I'm standing in front of.
The photo was taken at the old New England Air Museum,back before the tornado hit, so before 10/03/79.
I think Airdales may be my best shot to know were this A/C is today or that happined to her but if anybody has some info I'd love to hear it.

Martin Mauler. I think this is the plane now at Tillamook.

You are correct!
NEAM picked up another Mauler firewall forward QEC from Aberdeen when we got the Mauler. Harry Doan eventually bought that.

Thanks for the info guys. I thought it was from the era between WWII and Korea like the Skyraider.
A rare bird only about 150 made?

The Martin Mauler and the Douglas Skyraider were designed to meet the same government request for proposals. The Skyraider came out on top, obviously. Martin made a batch of Maulers, but they didn't stay around long.

My buddie Juan picked up a Mauler and a Skyraider a while back at Joshua, Texas out in a field. the guy wanted them gone! So last I heard the Mauler was sold to Planes of Fame and the Skyraider was traded for a flyable T-6.

Back about 1991 i heard of a Martin Mauler being in Brazil. Don't know anymore than that.
