What engine type is in the sub-scale P-51 replica and which model replica is it?

Fri Dec 15, 2006 8:18 pm

Hi bdk
It is 8/10ths, it has 2 ford thunderbird v6s hooked end to end. Jim says it flies alot like the real one.
Jim designed and built it here at the hangars. He got his calipers out and scaled it off the big one.

 Wow! What an effort. How about some photos of the aircraft and especially the engine installation? That's realy cool.

Scott have you considered the possibility of making so that us members could upload pictures and update information directly? Might take some of the work load off of you and keep the registry more current. Whacha think?
