Boy there is some neat stuff out there to find on the web I tells ya.
I had read somewhere that years ago LisunovLi-2 (Russian copy of the DC-3) OK-GAD was modified to look like a Wellington for a movie. As far as I know it never flew but was fully taxi-able.
Well, I managed to find a picture of it on a Czech website. Have a look at the thrid picture down at this link:
Wow Does anyone know if there are any flyable Li-2's around today, would be kind of cool to see one of those and the Russian copy of the B-29 the TU-?????? That would some impressive Airshow appearance if you had that and FIFI parked next to each other.
Scott.....

There is only one left, HA-LIX, based just outside of Budapest, Hungary at the Budaörs airport. I got a very detailed tour of it by the head of the "Goldtimers" restoration team when I was there this past October. The attached picture is not my photo.
RNDMTRS4EVR, Believe it or not, when we were having the major airframe issues with FIFI, I actually looked (briefly) into going to Russia and/or China to check out the TU-4's that were remaining. The idea didn't last long though, as there were many, many reasons why it just wasn't going to work out. It was kind of exciting, at least for a little while, to think we might try to recover one of them.
