REVERSE LEND LEASE

Fri Dec 22, 2006 5:16 pm

OK, everyone knows about lend lease and most of the types that we sent overseas to our allies.
The only types that I can think of that we received in return were Spitfires, Mossies and Beaufighters.
What other types did we get?
Thanks,
Bob

As a dyed in the wool Anorakus North Americus I would have to point out that the P-38s were non-TURBOCHARGED but still utilized the supercharger integral with the Allison.

Hi
Defiants, Lysanders.
A good source is the old ducimus C&M books
Many evaluation aircraft, one Whirlwind, one Typhoon, one Battle.
I often wonder if any Lancaster or halifax etc were evaluated.
Cheers
Jerry

These were P-322s, a model designation kept by the AAF along with their RAF serials. Confusing but true...
