"One of the Yanks" (SE5a)

Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:07 am

Hi guys,

I'm taking a quick break from my WWII commissions to indulge in a little "wind and wires" in the form of my favorite biplane, the SE5a 8) :

One of the Yanks
7.5 x 10, Oil on panel
(study for forthcoming 18 x 24)

After this little study is done, it's back to da Corsair!

Update:

Got the plane done on this 7.5 x 10 inch study. The rigging and a few other little details will be added once the paint is reasonably dry. At that time I'll scan the painting for the best archival image and then post the final image on my site.

The final 18 x 24 oil will be completed . . . sometime!

Now, it's full speed on my Corsair, then a very special Fw 190 piece - my first Luftwaffe subject.
