Hello all,
First post for ages...
...does anyone know the correct reg/serial/construction number for the above. If my memort serves me correctly it was painted completley yellow and was wearing the reg N50783, which, according to the FAA Database, doesn't exist!
Can anyone please shed any light onto this
Thanks
Chris

Been a while, and no reply. So I ask again, just in case there are new members with new information

Hmmm...I'll take a jab at it. Are you talking about sunken Lunken airport? There is an Aeronca C-3 with the E-113 2cylinder that is all yellow hanging in the lobby. NC16553. click here....
Aeronca in Lunken Terminal
Is this what you mean?

I know of a J-3 Cub at CVG that is sitting outside somewhere near the fire station. From what I was told about a year ago is that the county owns the airplane and it has been metalized with household type thin metal (not sure what they used, non-aircraft though). It's been there for years and is not really worth having a look at. That's the only one I know of, along with the C-3 at Lunken of course!!

Since you are familiar with the FAA registry:
http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/ Just peruse the Ohio/Hamilton County listings and sort through the nearly 700 listings. Some potential ones: N20PM(Piper L-4), N63826(Stinson L-5) and several Aeroncas(65-C or LA) Taylorcraft DCO-65 which could be liason types.

Apologies for the late reply; n_dalrymple, that's the aircraft in question. To me it's a cub, and therefore I'd like to know which one it is, regardless of its "metalization"! Don't suppose you know anything else about it, or how I could get in contact with someone who does?

I can try to find out more about it. I was looking in to it before when I was trying to find a project to purchase and was told not to bother with it.
