Any idea how much?

Just curious. I don't have any kind of money to go out and buy a B-25, let alone a used car, but I'm interested to know how much a B-25 goes for these days.

Peace,

David

I thought it was on Courtesy's site 6 months ago for $325K

Here is a link with the spec sheet from the barnstormers website:

http://www.barnstormers.com/classified_ ... ne_Ad4.pdf

The price went up from when it was on Courtesy's site. It now stands at $695k. Tom Reilly did some work on the bomber, thus the price went up.

That seems like a very steep price for a B-25!

I think you will find that prices have changed for -25s. With engine good engine overhauls in the 60k range (and I think Carolina Girl just got two new ones) you can expect prices to rise. Also, if I remember right, this one needed new fuel tanks, and you are looking at close to 40k for new ones (I know how much they are from experience.) You start adding this plus all the labor to an advertised price of $325k and it doesn't take long to get to the higher number. 'Martha Jean' is or was recently for sale for similiar money. I won't comment on how much I sold mine for, but I don't think that the current asking price for an airplane with two OSMOH engines is that far out of line.

Is tom the current owner now??????? I had wish she had gotten a better paint scheme............BUT she looks alot better than the last time I had seen her.
that was watching her leave on a ferry flight from NY to her new home in NC.

Thanks Tim. I'm sure you're right since you recently owned one. From watching bomber prices over the years it seems like B-25s have been in the $250,000 - $450,000 range for quite awhile. So it sounds like they have finally moved into a higher price range.

I guess for comparison I was thinking about the awesome A-26C Invader "Hard to Get" that's a "combat ready" restoration inside and out and won the Best Bomber award at Oshkosh 1998. It was listed in 2001 at $595,000 with no takers. In 2002 it was listed for $475,000. In 2003 the price was reduced to $395,000. In 2004 and 2005, it was back up to $479,000. And I haven't heard if anyone ever purchased it at that price.

Since "Carolina Girl" is listed at $695,000, I wonder what "Betty's Dream", "Apache Princess", or "How Boot That!?" would be worth if they were put on the market!

While I agree with Tim about 99%, I don't think you could ever get out of it what you put into it. Has an example Bob Watts put $1,000,000 into his T-28B N313WB (yes, you read correctly!). While he got throphys every where he went, when it came time to sell it he didn't even come close to getting his $$$ back. Crash Williams by comparision had a good solid a/c whose paint job he touched up with a wisk broom and a can of house paint 8) It flew every bit as well :!: Well see is she sells.
Has for the 'A-26 Hard to Get'. remember that the airplane doesn't have a bombbay so not quite combat ready but nice anyway!

I don't know what they would get for them but I know that each of them have 7 figures involved in each of those aircraft. I don't see any of those birds being for sale for a while anyways since each of their owners have the resources to keep them and they are well loved by each of their owners. The C&P guys, and Weeks are pretty young as well. Maybe by the time they are sold they will be worth what has gone into them.
