Mystery AT-6

Fri Feb 09, 2007 10:10 am

Taken by my dad probably in Minnesota or Wisconsin in the later 60s.
Looks to be a T-6G to me. First to ID gets a free pony. 8)
See Scott for pony

Sure looks like SNJ-5 43757 AKA AT-6D 41-34518, N437S, c/n 88-15738, most likely taken at Jordan, MN. Photo by Dick Phillips

Maybe, one's painted and the other is polished though.

Don't think so... Dick's photo has the earlier canopy with the 2 small frames on bottom and 2 small ones on top... not the larger one with two smalls on top like Jacks photo has. There isn't a white ring on the nose of the cowling either...

Every considered Dick's photo was taken much later, aircraft partial re-paint, paint faded on ADF antenna. date on Dick's photo is Aug 1979

Sorry John that just isn't it. That's a beautiful polished T-6G.
The other is a tired looking painted AT-6/SNJ with a different antenna
setup and other details.
