PT-17 with Tuskegee history

Sat Feb 10, 2007 3:37 pm

Hey guys, a friend of mine owns PT-17 USAAC # 42-17059 it is also Boeing number 75-5222. It is thought that this aircraft was stationed at Tuskegee eraly in 1944 until Aug. of 1944. Is there anyone out there that might be able to confirm this? I was also wondering where I might be able to go for any existing pics of this aircraft during the war. I was tinking maybe NMUSAF Archives might have something, but not sure.

NO, you'll have to go thru USAF Historical at Maxwell AFB, AL to get that information. I don't think that Dayton would have it there.
