This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

This is shocking obviously beyond safe loading for G force and sad to see the hudson wing fail and they spin in...

Yes, indeed shocking and the reult of wreckless abuse of a perfectly good aircraft...but what I found most disturbing was the galant music playing while all onboard obviously perished.

One word about this video....OUCH !!
You never like to watch videos like this where someone dies. Even though it is a video of an aircraft that isn't "popular" the video is kinda neat on that aspect. But actually watching someone die isn't something "cool" to watch.
just my two cents,

That is a very sad video, and I echo the comments about the music that accompanied it.
Who says that airplane isn't popular though? Of course it's not a Spit, Mustang, or B-17... but still a warbird. To me, all warbirds have the same appeal.
I am always eager to see warbirds in any state with any history. I guess you could say that I'm a total history nerd, but I just love the stuff.
Thank you for posting the video. It does seem hard to believe that airplane exceeded it's max G loading. It didn't look like it was going too fast (what is the VNE on those anyway?). I get the feeling that it had previously exceeded max G, but the airframe was still intact, so the unsuspecting next person to push the airframe got a tragic surprise.

The same person also has posted a clip of a midair between two Bristol Beauforts.

I stumbled across this video a few weeks ago. That manouver is not outside the limits for the Hudson. It is hard to say what caused the catastrophic wing failure. As someone who flys on a Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon that does that same manouver, I found it very sobering.

I think that the Hudson is just a clip from a film of some type. I don't think that the poster put the music to the video.

Rolls Royce pilot Dave Moore at the controls of Mk. XIV RM689 at Woodford, UK in 1992. Definately fatal!

That Spitfire Vid is equally bad from a spectator's view. looks like he did his aerobatic's too low and pancaked it.

I just watched the video, and i think it is a ventura, not a hudson, look at how hight he horizontal stabilizer is mounted and the notice in the rear on the fuselage.
