Barstow Hanger Fire 1986

In regards to the Barstow Dagget Airport Hanger fire in 1986 that destroyed some of David Tallichet's aircraft that were stored there: what airframes were destroyed?
Does anybody know for sure what was lost?
I forgot all about it and was just wondering.

Wow, that's very cryptic.
I'm actually interested in the types and numbers destroyed as an adjunct to the whole flying losses vs Museum/ground bound losses debate.

Jerry - I drove out there around 1980, and the place seemed completely deserted, except for a B-29 that was parked up to a long dock-type area. I believe it was the only aircraft visible. I remember a small sign somewhere at the airport said YESTERDAYS AIR FORCE. I wasn't aware of a fire (probably just forgot), but it would be interesting to know what was lost.

The LA Times reported on it at the time and said it destroyed some stored B-29 airframes, but who knows how accurate that was.

An old Flypast from those days mentioned that someone who had read about B-29s being destroyed went up there. They found no trace of any B-29 as I recall, but one A-26 had gone up in flames. There was a b/w photo of a mangled R-2800. The insurance company later bought him Gene Akers A-26 N7705C which was sitting at Chino with a blown engine.
