Why I like MY job...(Doug can't have ALL the fun)

Sun Mar 04, 2007 7:46 am

While Andy & I were shooting rivets yesterday, we were forced to stop, in order to help some lovely ladies from the dance squad of the local professional Arena Football team (Odessa Roughnecks) with a photo shoot for an upcoming calander (and YES, they are all over the age of 18  )

Even though my pictures aren't as great as Doug's (FG-1D Pilot), I still couldn't let him have all the fun.

And even though the quality of the new paint on the B-24 is absolutely horrible, how can I really yell at the painters about it?

I think that if we keep getting more volunteers like this, we'll have no trouble getting more and more folks to help us out with the project. Now, how much actual work would get done is a whole other issue........

I'm thinking that "group hugs" are now going to be required...multiple times a day! :D
Here's the Fat Boy with his new volunteers.......

Did I mention how much I like my new painters? So, just in case you didn't see them before, here they are again.

The only problem is that they don't seem to be morning people, so I reckon I better get some work done myself......at least until they show up again.

When are they back?????? I can just see the rest of it now..... competition between you and Doug! OK Gary, back to work (again!) before "The Girls" arrive! Remember, work SAFE! Oh, and when Old Shep sees this, lets see how fast his little blue 'Stang whips up around the hanger doors! Alan

Gary,

Now you've got some new inspiration for nose art concepts.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I have been meaning to come and volunteer some time for you. When can I do that. Just let me know when the girl in the black and pink bating suit will be back.

Hey Mustang Driver.... Bathing or bait???? Alan

Too bad you already removed the Diamond Lil artwork. Maybe you could have gotten one of the girls to duplicate the pose in front of the painting, for a "3-D" nose art.

That one chick didn't seem too thrilled to be sitting up there on the Hellcat wing...she's probably thinking "I'm..too sexy for this plane, too sexy for this plane.... 8)

 Awesome pics Gary...these beautiful gals could really help out with the donation drives if you played your cards right. I love that picture of you surrounded by all those beautiful women. You got that "pimp" look goin on...all you need is a leopard skin shirt, gold chains, platform shoes, and a gold tooth and you'd play the part perfectly.

Hey Alan I meant bathing suit, but I got distracted! "Goose, this is what I call a target rich enviroment."

Sun Mar 04, 2007 11:50 am

Oh Hey Gary I have got to ask, who were those girls. I have never had random hot chicks just swing by the hangar.

I knew there must be a CAF vehicle that I was checked out and fully competent to handle! The red Corvette is a 1958, my first car was a used 58 Vette. If you need any help in demonstrating the finer points of advanced auto driving to the ladies let me know. I am definitely checked out in both spin entry and recovery in a Corvette. Neither rudder or aileron do much for you, but a muddy ditch is very effective. And it appears all those ladies are within the back seat CG weight limit of a Spitfire, but might need their parents permission. Finally, I hope if Gary did any critical A&P work that day, that someone came along behind him to check the safety wire!

It is also absolute hell working at the SoCal Wing. Why anybody would want to be a member is beyond me!

I can see it now........

Just as Gary is starting to falter after another early start and 12 our day, the music begins ,the lights come on and the girls start chanting.

GO GARY ,GO GARY,GO.......

Wish we could get some volunteers of that calibre at the Classic Flight....
