A-26 carb change

thought you might like to see what it looks like changing a carb on a R-2800
This is my first attemp to post pics, so hope it works, and away we go.........

this is what you see once you get the airbox off

this is the Carb, we just had this one overhauled.

and this is where all the air and gas goes, this is looking into the R-2800

you would not think this is much, but this little piece of rubber can make a R-2800 sick, and you would not believe how much this cost, it is all of 2in in Diameter

that is a fuel valve diaphram, it goes under that little dome in the blower pic. That little piece of rubber costs $90. + shipping.

You can't tell it from the pictures but the R2800 carb makes the R2600 carb look like a toy. Matt you gonna love putting the d@#n clamp on the rubber boot and getting the boot on the air box. You have to get in the crawlspace and work it through the dishpan hole. Not easy for a sixfooter that's not in the best of trim ! :lol:
