I live just a couple of miles from American Aero, but I have not been able to drive by there yet. I plan on driving by there on my way home from the office later this afternoon.

We did get hammered with sustained winds around 50 to 60mph for a good 12 hours or so, as well as received over 10 inches of rain. The ground around AAS is fairly low and there is a tidal creek nearby so there is some possibility they received some flooding.

I'll report back when I know more.

Did the Kissimmee area get hit again?

Frances was a huge storm so pretty much all of Central Florida was effected.

From what I have heard Kissimmee did not get hit as hard as it did when Charley came through.

I drove by AAS last night and everything looked fine. No visible damage to the hangars and if there was any flooding it had subsided. Dick Foote's hangar looked fine as well, so the Wildcat should be safe.

It's definitely possible that Kermit's place took a hit, I believe the eye of the storm moved fairly close to that area. I'm about an hour and a half drive from FOF, and with gasoline being scarce out here on the coast right now I don't think I'll have an opportunity to make it out there anytime soon. I'll definitely be keeping my fingers crossed for them.

Looks like we may all get to go through it again next week with Hurricane Ivan. :? One thing I have learned is that generators and ice are like gold around here these days.
Gotta keep the beer cold. :D

This might be old news by now but we just got word from Sara Wilson at Fantasy of Flight that all is safe and sound. They managed to get everything inside before Frances hit town.
