Denton, Texas: air show this weekend???

Thu Mar 08, 2007 1:05 pm

Kinikia (aka wifey-poo) called me earlier and told me that one of her co-workers told her that there's some kind of air show at DTO this weekend. He told her that admission was free, but they were suggesting an optional donation of $10 per person. I did some Googling just now and came up empty. Anyone have any info?

Cheers!

There was an article in the Star Telgram yesterday. They were talking about the Collings birds coming to town.

The teaser photo on 1B says "Airshow tour in Denton next week will display three World War II bombers. " with a little picture of 909.

It says the "Denton stop begins from Noon to 5PM Monday and continues from 9AM to 5PM Tuesday and March 14"

Other than the Collings visit, I have note of the Denton Air Fair May 19.

The press slipped that little weekend comment in there without us knowing about it. The B-17G, B-24J, and B-25J will be there on Monday sometime between 11 and noon.

They will be there until end of day on Wednesday. Thursday AM they will make the move down to Dallas Love Field and the Frontiers of Flight.
