This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Paul,
I am one of the crew chiefs for this aircraft, Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon (Bu Aero 37396) (N7265C). Home Base: Mount Comfort, Indiana.
Thanks for posting a picture of her!

Another one of my favorites from Geneseo/Batavia in the early 90's! Is she flying again?

Nice pic of an often-overlooked warbird. The Ventura/Harpoon have always been among my favorites. I've seen "Hot Stuff" at several airshows..she's a real stunner.

Yes, she flies, but sadly if we can't generate some more income she might have to be sold. Maybe we should start a "Help Keep Hot Stuff Flying Fund" like Diamond Lil's fund drive. We have been gathering equipment to restore the interior to military configuration. Anyone know of any Pv-2 drawings or plans, pictures that show this?
Thanks,
Paula K.
go to the AMHF web-site to see a recent video of "Hot Stuff"

OR.......you could donate the airplane to the B-29/B-24 Squadron and we'll operate it with our airplanes.
Well, it's worth a shot anyway.
I do wish y'all the best of luck in keeping that awesome airplane flying! If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know.

Thanks, Gary. How about a trade...

We hope to keep her. As I say we are in need of drawings or interior pics so we can restore the inside. These planes are fairly obscure and even the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola is lacking in drawings.
Any help is always appreciated.
Thanks,
Paula

The rides deal didn't happen. This is what we have had to deal with during winter maintenance. Just like being in the Aleutians.

hi'
Didn't the Wisconson wing have one under restoration? I remember hearing that they had a complete with all internals unmolested fuselage that went with it.

A good fun raiser ? How about a calender staring Hot Stuff and 12 associated female models always a good seller.
thanks Mike

From what I understand, Wisconsin may be selling their Harpoon. Good luck getting twelve models to stand out in 5 degree weather.
