A question has been raised by one of the BBMF crew over on Flypast about the highest houred Spitfire. One of theirs (PM631) apparently has over 2,600 hours.

I just wondered how this compares with TE308?

Thanks Mike, we'd have a lot more high time Spits if it wasn't for Galland and the rest of those guys. My guess is mine has a less than that, perhaps around 2000? The logbooks are kept at QG Aviation, with Ray Middleton, and they are closed after hours. Ray is in England till the 29th so I may have to wait until then to find it. I know my was very low time when it was converted into dual control.

Thanks Bill, that was quick!
So I'd guess that either one of the BBMF aircraft, or possibly MH434 at Duxford, probably has the highest number of hours.
