I hope that they didn't have to stop that B-24 for a while.I had very wet brakes on a B-17 once after having to taxi through a low spot like that.Let's just say thay the first few brake applications were even less effective than usual.Also,after they dried out,the cast iron drums had an impressive layer of rust and squealed big-time until they rubbed it off ,which took a little while.

jack, is it a liberando A/c?????? I have seen this pic before. gotta talk to my dad, a good friend of his was a b24 pilot in italy. I was little when I was last there at his house. thats where I had seen the pic before. I think it was him taxing......................will confirm.
