Local MA warbird pilot Jim Grenier's L-17 Navion was lost after a post-landing fire this weekend at the Marlboro Airport.

Jim operated safely for years out of the ultra tiny public use airfield (1659') and his plane was seen at many local airports on weekends. It's a darn shame.

Very sorry to hear that.
Jim's a great guy and I'm thankful he wasn't injured. He's a real L-Bird Guy.

Ohh, that's a pity. I've seen several shots of that bird here on the WIX from
you Nawthers over the past few years and enjoyed her unique Army colors. Glad no one was hurt...
