All-
I am looking for some photos of the turrets on a B-24J. More specifically, if anyone has any interior photos, as well as photos of the underside of the nose turret (as if looking up from the bombadier's window), those would be splendid! Thanks guys

Dennis,
Here are a pair of photos I took at Midland some weeks ago. I don't know if these will help as this appears to be an earlier Consolidated tail turret. The bottom of the later MPC and Consolidated turrets likely were similar, but I do not know if the Emerson looked at all like this example.
Hope this helps a little,
Scott

Here's a photo I took of the B-24J in the Pima Air and Space Museum. There's a mannequin inside (which just gets in the way of photography IMHO.) Not sure what kind of bombsight that is, but it ain't a Norden.

That is a good shot of the bottom of an Emerson turret. Is that bombsight something the Indian Air Force adapted to the Lib during their time of operation? It could possibly be British, as it doesn't resemble the later Sperry or the Norden even with some of the attachments that were available late in WWII.

These photos are great guys, I really appreciate it! I also have no clue what sort of bomb sight that is...i've never seen one before.

I might have stumbled on to the bombsight identity on the excellent
www.twinbeech.com website. Go to the Norden bombsight link and partway down are photos of several British sights. The one in the Pima B-24 resembles the Mark XIV model shown on the website.
