**** Warbirds over DC ****

This release just arrived from the Air Force. Perhaps some DC area WIXers can watch the show from some local vantage point or get themselves properly accredited by the Air Force.

MEDIA ADVISORY: Air Force Memorial Foundation

Washington - Who: Air Force Memorial Foundation

When: Wednesday September 15, 2004 at 2:30 p.m.

What: Air Force Memorial Groundbreaking Ceremony will include a Military Heritage Flyover. Current and vintage aircraft are scheduled to arrive on site at 2:36 pm include:

Stearman

B-24 and B-29 in formation

B-52

C-5

P-51, F-15, F-16 in formation

T-38

Where: Navy Annex. Parking is not available, however a shuttle bus will transport media from three locations:

Pentagon 2nd Corridor South Parking

Pentagon City Mall Metro Station on South Hayes St.

Marriott Wardman Park Hotel

Shuttle buses begin at 1:00 p.m. and depart every 10 minutes. Media should arrive at media tent no later than 1:45 p.m.

Why: Air Force Memorial will honor the heroic and selfless contributions of the men and women of the United States Air Force, and recognize the world's greatest air and space force.
