In my opinion nothing looks better than A Spitifre wing including the full span tips. The clip wing version is sort of neat looking on the smaller MkV, to me it looks out of proportion on the later Griffon one like the MKXIV, ie too much engine and body for the amount of wing. One thing that make a Spit so beautiful is that the prortions are pretty much ideal on the V or even IX. Authenticy is a judging factor, but it is only one aspect. The XIV seemed to be pretty origninal in the cockpit. If there were 2 fighter vying for "best"' and one was more original it could win. I don't know how the judges handle 24 volt electrics, or paint that may be for a later model in this case.
