Looks great! The Warbird world is certainly getting it's share of "facelifted" bombers this season. This Lanc, the B-24 and Lonestar's B-25. Who else am I missing?
Anyway, thanks for the pictures!

Great pics of a great plane, but do you have any of the flight deck, I have never seen any pics of the inside. Also, how many are left either flyable or static?

On a rare visit outside the UK, the Lanc landed at Rotterdam Airport (the Netherlands) yesterday after having participated in a number of commemorations of Operation Manna (1945). Some of my pics can be seen at

She really looks nice! We're very lucky to have flying Lancs on both sides of The Pond.
Question: have the rudders been modified? The lower trailing edge looks oddly pointed.

I believe they are from an Avro Lincoln, can't remember the reason why. She was a flying testbed for most of her pre BBMF career, so they may have been changed then.

What do you mean by 'next in line'? NX611 is a privately owned, non-flying Lancaster.

I KNOW OWNED BY TWO BROTHERS WHO HAVE RESTORED IT IN MERMORY OF THEIR BROTHER KILLED FLYING A BOMBER DURING THE WAR ,IVE ALWAYS BEEN LED TO BELIEVE IF WORST CAME TO WORST AND WE LOST THE PHANTOM ALL EFFORTS WOULD BE MADE TO REPLACE HER WITH JUST JANE OTHERWISE THAT WOULD BE THE END OF THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN MERMORIAL FLIGHTS TRIBUTE TO BOMBER COMMAND!
