You just made me want to go back and get my A & P.
Tue May 08, 2007 10:08 am
I am not an A&P Mechanic, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express!
Nice collection.

You don't need an A&P. What you need to do is adopt a mature, responsible 48 year old son who will look after you're collection. I can weld, ribstitch, polish, and make sure no cob webs form on or in any aircraft. Being 48, you know I will be responsible when I take the Corsair out for a weekend. I also don't eat much and I pick up after myself!
So what do you say......Dad?

Your loving and faithful future adopted son.

Mike thats a nice collection. The guy that gets that job should be pretty proud of maintaining that fine collection. Good Luck in finding the right guy.

Thanks for the kind words and help. I will respond to the PM's tonight.
Soko is kept in flying condition but I stopped flying it regularly a couple of years ago.
I have had enough emergencies in these old aircraft that I started to choose which ones are the safest for a father of two young children. SO my decision went along the lines that even though the jets don't quit very often, if something does happen the heavy thing in the back moves forward on impact and the fuel tank is the first thing in it's way.
While there are many instances of Mustangs and Corsairs crashing in a million pieces and the pilot has a scratch on his forehead.
The Soko has Bang seats and I have not tried to obtain current charges as of yet.
The jet is a Soko Galeb I tried to buy a super Galeb a couple of years ago but they were very proud of the G-4.
