This is me next to the P-51H at Chanute AFB in 1962 when I was going through Minuteman Tech School.

It's still at Chanute at the museum that is located in Rantoul, IL. When the base closed in 1995 some of the display aircraft were left and the Octave Chanute Museum was opened in one of the old hangers. It is located in the same hanger I went to tech school in 1962 for Minuteman Missile.

In the Spring of 1969, I was a student at Chanute Air Force Base mechanic school. I saw the Mustang there, but at that time I really didn't know what a Mustang was. It was a pretty gloomy place.
