The A-7 to A-7 shot is way cool!
It's actually a A-6E of VA-75 flown by CDR Keith Wernan CO with my Step-dad flying has BN note the refueling boom on the left.. I've got the entire sequence in slides. The questions is what shape their in has i salvaged them from our house but haven't gone through them yet to see if anything's OK. On this cruise he logged time and traps in the F-4, A-6, E-2, S-3, C-1A, EA-3 and the EA-6B. But, they wouldn't let him in the Viggie and he wanted that one bad!

Jack - is the date (1957) a typo on the Cougar shot? These were not known as TF-9Js until after Sept. 1962 (originally F9F-8T), and I am not sure the VT squadrons were using them yet in 1957.
Seems to me this was probably a shot from the mid-60s up to about 1974 at the latest (When they retired the last of the TF-9Js from the VT squadrons I believe??)

Ahhh..I was wondering how he pressed the shutter release! I always imagined that the pilots hands were a bit full at that point of flight refueling.
The BPDMS shot. Is that a sort of "Boxed Sparrow" for ship defence?Thanks for shareing those with us Jack.
