This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Any idea which plane? Or if it is even true?

Lucky guy. But why would he want another one? Geez...
If I were him I'd try and find something more exotic. Not to be mean, but to be honest, Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Maybe a Spitfire, P-47, P-38 (He could probably afford one) or Tracker, or something Italian or Spanish. Or maybe a spaceship... oops... Did I say that? Sorry for the knock.

As long as he is flying warbirds, he is O.K. in my book. I had very limited access to him at one point, and talked very briefly about warbirds, and he seemed to know his stuff, and was very polite. I can only judge someone on how they treat me.

Well put Mustand Driver. If someone is a warbirder they are generally really good people. That's cool that you got to chat with him.

I remember this being discussed at Reno this year. I believe it is a TF. Tempus Fugit maybe? At least that's what my limited memory is telling me.

I don't care what anyone says about Tom. He's a nice guy. He lives the typicle Hollywood life style, but that is ok. He's got some wisdom if he likes warbirds.
How cool would it be if he gave ever warbird museum a LARGE $$ donation!?

Steve Craig still owned Flying Dutchman as of last Monday and he just bought it a few months ago. I have a feeling the showbiz press has got this one wrong. Although, stranger things have happened.

Tim, is Steve in that picture? I wonder if Tom wasn't just looking at it as a fellow Mustang owner and the media took it as meaning he had bought it?
Also, Gary or SAF can probably answer this, has Tom has started supplying funds for the CAF Twin Mustang? I had heard that he had, but haven't heard anything to confirm it.

I don't know anything about what's going on with the Twin Mustang.

Did anyone read the comments under the photo? One of the replies was, " I am a single mom trying to scrape by to put my kids through school, I wish I had that much money to waste." What the hell? Why should someone be bashed for having money and buying stuff they like. God knows if I was welathy enough to buy several WWII aircraft that I would. I don't think that anyone here would do anything different. It is people that say stuff like that that tick me off. As if he has to explain to this lady why is is buying a vintage WWII airplane.

Capitalism. People don't understand it.
