With all of the Vietnam era UH-1's that have survived, it's amazing that no more have been restored and flown on the warbird circuit. I remember Glen Hyde's example out of the Dallas area, and of course the Dark Horse crew out of California I believe.

By now I figured there would be many more of them on the scene. There are so many configurations and cool personalized paint schemes to choose from. There's no doubt plenty of experienced pilots available as well.

It is difficult to to comply with the current AD's, and still have $$$ to fly. We are getting closer.

That's a wonderful collection oscar :) Glad to see some love being lavished on those old eggbeaters! Is the AH-1 a static piece?

Neat pictures. The Herk, 62-1847 is still flying as of 2001...

If it would help, I have a complete set of of -23 and -23P, as well as -229 and I think a -10 for the huey.

I also have some stretcher straps from my old medivac bird.

Brian Reynolds has restored a number of Hueys inc at least 2 to original VN configuration. Get your wallet out!!!

We can build you a restored Bell UH-1H back to military configuration as a flying museum aircraft. The ship can be equipped anyway you want it including replica door guns and gun mounts.” These helicopters are fully inspected and overhauled and brought current with all inspections for airworthiness. They are test flown and then packed for shipment or delivery. We have inventory in the country of over 25 surplus helicopters in stock and available for build up.
