FW 190 Project in Baton Rouge, LA

Sun Oct 03, 2004 6:56 pm

Anybody know what the status of the Fw190A-8 project, W Nr. 173056, that is being restored by Don Hansen, down in Baton Rouge, LA. This was a former a/c owned by Malcolm Laing of Lubbock, TX. It flew as 'White 14' with 1/JG11, and is reported to have many components from FlugWerk in its restoration. Anybody know the restoration status of this aircraft, and a contact person?? Thanks.

Mark

P.S. Photos of the above Fw190 are on the Flugwerke website, at www.flugwerk.de/, click on Fw190 button.Scroll to near bottom of the page.

And while we're on the subject...

How about any news/photos of the Frasca machine?

Don is putting together the assemblies, such as undercarriage and tail plane etc. The airframe won't be put together till that sort of thing is completed. Very little of 173056 is included...it is basically and 'identity'.
