Hey Sasnak, I bet they would install it if you donate it to them. :D

Even if someone gave us one of those radomes and shipped it from the UK to Texas for free, it would not be a simple matter to install it on the B-17. The mechanism on which the radome was installed is very complex and the parts are virtually impossible to find. We have no blueprints to work from either, so it would not be practical to try to make them.

A radome would be a great display item to have in the Museum hangar, however!

Yes, I do plan to at least look into it "in all my spare time" (that's sarcasm, one of the many free services I offer).

Cheers!

There is one guy that could probably do it.....his name is...let's see....uh....Gary! yeah that's it Gary Austin...Miracle Worker!

From what I recall, years ago Doc was in contact with a guy at E-Systems, seems like he thought they were the owners of the patents for the PFF domes and equipment but that it ended up being a dead end....because no one could find the info...gone after sixty years of corporate takeovers and such.

If anyone has any idea of where we could lay hands on the stuff, any stuff for this install, please contact the museum.
