Acutally, the laser firing aircraft is the 747-400F with the target designator on the nose of the aircraft.

The Big Crow is the NC-135E aircraft, ( which looks like an RC-135S Cobra Ball Aircraft ) that measures the aircrafts laser intensity fired at it and reviews it how it fires through the air.

The aircraft is designed not only to intercept ICBM's but also shorter range Scud type missles.

if you'd like your own NKC-135,

Kirtland AFB has been trying to sell theirs for some time now, thru the Govt Liquidation website, for scrap value.

They'll probably list it again soon.

So far, no takers. Some (uhh, LOTS) of disassembly required. :D
